Color Crush: Leaf Peeping

Color Crush: Leaf Peeping | Interior Design Dallas | Barbara Gilbert Interiors
Autumn’s vibrant colors inspire many to go leaf peeping around the United States, seeking out the beautiful foliage that starts to blaze with color as weather gets cooler. Fall starts this Saturday, Sept. 22, and you can bet the trees — and leaf peepers — are ready to start the fun!
In New England, leap peeping is most prevalent in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. But those aren’t the only places to go. In the Mid-Atlantic, many people plan roadtrips around New York’s Adirondack and Catskill Mountains, as well as the Finger Lakes region. There’s even leaf peeping in the Midwest, where the fiery foliage impresses on the trail around the Great Lakes from Ohio to Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
For today’s Color Crush, I’ve chosen the kind of scene leaf peepers would love to find on their journey, a quaint country road framed by trees as Mother Nature shows off her skills. This nature-inspired color palette has a lot of soothing hues, like the greens and earth colors. The red would be a wonderful accent color in this scheme, and the palette could work in any room in the home, particularly a living area.
