This week's Color Crush color palette is inspired by the aurora borealis, which has started already this year in Iceland, for example. So just what causes this dazzling natural phenomenon? In a nutshell, sunspots release solar winds off the sun and into space. They make their way to Earth in about 40 hours and show up near the arctic circle when the earth is tilted as it is in late summer and early fall.
These deep colors would make a huge statement as a color palette, perhaps in a media room, game room, or secondary living space. Dark colors can absolutely be successfully employed in a house — don't be intimidated! Just know the psychological effect of the colors will be at their greatest because of this intense saturation.
