Color Crush: Thanksgiving Road Trip

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and with that holiday, comes a road trip for many to see family and friends around the United States. These can offer some spectacular scenery and hours of fun conversation.
For my Color Crush this week, I’ve chosen an autumnal color palette with all the hues of the season. The deep red, golden yellow, ochre, and taupe are earthy shades that create a grounded, secure feeling in a color scheme. These are often considered friendly and inviting, and tend to more muted and flat. Additionally, earth tones are considered to be generally appealing, reassuring, and settling. This makes them perfect for busy spaces like a family room or living room because they are inviting without being somber.
The other part of this color palette is the sky colors, a trio of blues, considered to promote stability and depth. Blues have a calming effect and represent trust, truth, and wisdom, among other things. Because of their tranquil impact, these blues would be great for a bedroom, although you want to keep the dark hue as an accent.
