Top 10 Interior Design Trends For 2025!
We are half way through 2025; can you believe it?! The world of interior design continues to embrace sustainability, functionality, and personal expression…and we couldn’t be happier about it! Here are the top 10 interior design trends for 2025 forecasted to define homes the rest of the year. Additionally, I’ve included my observations if we are seeing any of these trends in our local or Santa Fe projects…
1. Earthy Color Palettes: Shades like terracotta, warm taupe, and sage green dominate interiors, bringing nature-inspired serenity into homes.
- Of course, this is always incorporated in typical Santa Fe design but we really love updating the look with contemporary forms and clean lines. We’ve definitely been inspired in our Dallas projects from working in Santa Fe the last couple years!

2. Sustainable Materials: Expect a surge in eco-friendly materials like bamboo, recycled glass, and reclaimed wood for everything from furniture to flooring.
- I think many of our manufacturers are looking for better ways to use sustainable materials and practices, down to the way they package their products. For example, they are substituting recyclable paper products for packing and being intentional in their crating for the least amount of waste. We try our best to source as many American made products as possible to cut down on importing and contributing to transporting from far away. This also helps with project lead times!

3. Textured Walls: From limewash finishes to 3D wall panels, textured walls are making a statement, adding depth and personality to living spaces.
- Don’t get me started on lime wash paint! We have been implementing it into our projects the last year and love it! A natural easy paint finish that adds a nice layer to any space. Additionally, we are always on board with wall coverings or wallpaper! We do not have to treat all of the walls to help cut on cost.

4. Wellness Spaces: Meditation corners and home gyms with spa-like elements are becoming essential for mental and physical well-being.
- Post 2020, we are seeing clients really invest in these spaces at home and also the office! It’s so important to have a space to rewind and disconnect from the world so we are happy to include these spaces into new builds and renovations.

5. Vintage Revival: A blend of mid-century modern and 1970s-inspired pieces is back in style, bringing nostalgia with a contemporary twist.
- Yes! And if you’re nervous to incorporate this vibe, start with smaller pieces. For example, a piece of art that you pull the colors from for throw pillows. And if you don’t know how to do it, you know where to go! 😉
6. Multifunctional Furniture: With homes becoming more dynamic, furniture that serves multiple purposes, such as sofa beds and extendable tables, is gaining popularity.
- We love the aesthetic of a beautifully designed space, but there is something so wonderful about an efficient space too! With many people working part time from home, a space that can be flexible and serve two purposes is a nice option. Our team is always looking at how our clients use a space for the furniture layout!

7. Biophilic Design: The integration of natural elements, from indoor plants to living green walls, continues to thrive in 2025.
- Bringing the outside in is always going to be important for the health and wellbeing of the inhabitants. We are always focusing on bringing greenery inside, whether it is living or faux. Research shows even faux greenery has a positive mental effect.

8. Statement Lighting: Bold, sculptural light fixtures are taking center stage, transforming rooms into modern art galleries.
- Lighting is one of our favorite ways to change the space. Whether it’s a statement fixture or accent LED lighting.
9. Curved Furniture: Soft, rounded silhouettes in sofas, chairs, and tables create a sense of comfort and fluidity.
- Never underestimate the addition of curves! They soften up the space and make it more inviting, by breaking up the harsh edges.

10. Tech-Integrated Spaces: Smart home technology is seamlessly blending into design, with voice-activated systems and sleek, unobtrusive devices.
