A Patio for Entertaining
Outdoor living spaces have always been popular, but with today’s lifestyles of long work hours, lengthy commutes and hectic family schedules, the need for a backyard retreat is greater than ever. Throw in the rising popularity of staycations, and the benefits of a backyard paradise become unmistakable.
We recently designed an outdoor living space for clients that love to entertain friends and family, and wanted their patio to serve as an extension of their home. Festive furnishings in a color palette that echoed the home’s adjoining interior rooms, ample shade and tables with multipurpose features did the trick!
We couldn’t be happier with the end result and would love to hear what you think of it, too. Here are all the details!
We designed and installed custom drapery and shades in hues of orange and teal in the home’s breakfast nook with views of the patio, and continued the color scheme outside for a cohesive look.
A circular sectional with custom-made cushions sits atop a colorful outdoor rug and faces an outdoor fireplace and television. The cocktail table offers a new take on the term “fire and ice.” It’s outfitted with a fire pit that can also serve as an ice-bucket!
A rotating dining table with a built-in lazy Susan and ice bucket is the perfect spot for dining al fresco. Barstools with custom-made cushions in coordinating fabrics were also added for additional seating.
Chaise lounge chairs sit poolside for days of relaxtion and can be easily repositioned. A 9-foot umbrella sits in a granite base and stands at the ready to provide shade when desired.
Lastly, rocking club chairs and ottomans provide another spot for poolside conversations and play.
