Color Crush: Bright Umbrellas
For this week’s Color Crush, a new bi-weekly feature on the Barbara Gilbert Interiors blog, I've found a fun photo of hanging, bright umbrellas. These inspire me with their varied hues and festive feel. Some of the colors are quite saturated, but there are lighter shades in this photo, too. I think the range of colors offers some great color palette options for the home. The blues would be marvelous in a bedroom, with accent colors coming from the rest of the photo. Bedroom Design Ideas: The Power of Purple
Purple is a powerful color. Many people shy away from it when they're thinking of bedroom design ideas, believing it's too bold. But in my experience, purple makes an excellent hue for bedrooms, whether the intensity is saturated or more pastel. Design Crush: Contemporary Side Table
Every other week, I share my latest Design Crush here on the blog. This week, my eyes are on the Cyan Design Bradley contemporary side table. Measuring 19 inches in height and 22 inches in diameter, this cylindrical contemporary side table is topped with clear glass. The iron body is finished in graphite, and the table has row upon row of scallops, creating a visual fish scale pattern.
